My pet recently had lab work or x-rays at my regular veterinarian. Why does the specialist want to repeat the same diagnostics?
There are many reasons for repeating diagnostics. In certain cases an additional view is needed on an x-ray. Often times we analyze trends and bloodwork to see if values are improving. For all diagnostics, the veterinarian/specialist will discuss why these diagnostics are being recommended.
