The Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon is deeply invested in its staff and their continued learning and development.
The Learning Institute at the Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon is a one-of-a-kind institute to ensure staff members are up to date with the latest techniques, research, and procedures. We also encourage cross-departmental training which leads to innovation, collaboration, and a more holistic understanding of veterinary care. This is achieved with VRCCO’s online learning modules, lecture series, daily case rounding, and mentorship program. This is just one way that VRCCO ensures your pet receives the most advanced, compassionate care available.

VRCCO is a place for career development and professional growth.
Another way VRCCO promotes education is through externships and internships for both veterinary technicians and doctors.
Veterinary students can spend 1-2 weeks with any of our departments where they receive hands on learning opportunities with the mentorship of specialists in the field.
Graduated DVMs are eligible to apply for a year long rotating internship in medicine, surgery, and emergency to help prepare them for specialty residency or to provide a solid foundation to practice as a general practitioner.

Professional Events at VRCCO
VRCCO is also dedicated to supporting our veterinary community through continuing education opportunities and specialized professional training courses. The Learning Institute is excited to bring Central Oregon even more educational experiences, keep a look out for our future professional events.
