Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO)
TPLO’s are a common orthopedic procedure to repair a torn cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) in dogs. The CCL is the primary weight-bearing ligament in a dog’s knee, making it susceptible to injury. In fact, injury to this ligament is the most common orthopedic injury in dogs. There are multiple types of surgical approaches besides a TPLO to repair knee injuries, so having an evaluation by a board certified veterinary surgeon allows for the best plan to be made for you and your pet.
