A board-certified veterinary internist compliments your primary care veterinarian by offering advanced diagnostic and treatment options. Often, the expertise of internists is utilized to diagnose and treat chronic disease, patients with multiple disease processes, autoimmune disease, or difficult to diagnose diseases. At VRCCO, our IM department offers:

  • Abdominal ultrasounds
  • Chemotherapy
  • Computed Tomography (CT) scanning
  • Bone, bone marrow, and soft tissue biopsies
  • Endoscopy
  • Endoscopic foreign body retrieval

We run many blood tests in house (like chemistries and complete blood cell counts), but we also utilize many advanced diagnostic laboratories around the country for special tests we cannot run in our clinic.
