Dr. Sean Panella
Dr. Sean Panella was introduced to the field of Veterinary Medicine in high school while volunteering with a mixed animal practice in East Tennessee. It was there he learned to love the adventure of working with animals on a daily basis. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Tennessee and stayed in Knoxville in order to pursue his Doctorate degree from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. After four years of rigorous study he decided to make the move to Oregon where he began his career as a mixed animal veterinarian. For the next two years you could find him working on just about any animal imaginable around rural Central Oregon. It was the after-hours adventures while being on call that helped him discover his love for emergency practice. That realization, combined with a desire to deepen his knowledge base, led Dr. Panella to his current position as an ER veterinarian at VRCCO. He enjoys the challenge of treating patients with a wide variety of illnesses as well as the ability to collaborate with board certified specialists. Outside of work, he prefers to spend his time surfing, snowboarding and hiking with his fiance, Pauline and their Australian Shepherd, Luna.
