Born and raised in Oregon, I have worked with animals since I was 13, first at a dog rescue and then in vet med since 2018. I have been part of the ED team at VRCCO since 2021. I love the fast pace of the ED and getting to help a huge variety of pets and people.
I love spending time with all of my animals. I have 4 dogs: Cypress the Australian cattle dog and Rowan, Sorrel, and Rye the border collies. Raspberry and Coriander are my two cats.
On my little homestead I have a flock of about 25 Jacob sheep that I raise for meat and wool as well as a flock of 16 laying hens (named after a variety of mushrooms). I also currently have turkeys and a bottle calf.
My house is a revolving door of foster animals. I love taking in different herding breed dogs and helping them find their forever homes but also foster kittens sometimes as well.
In my time outside of work I’m usually training for or competing in sheepdog or agility trials with my dogs or going on outdoor adventures. I have travelled all over to compete with my dogs and love the bond that we build together through training and competition. I also love to go backpacking, paddling, and XC skiing and always bring the dogs (and sometimes cats) along. I’m always game to explore a new trail or random dirt road and am always on the lookout for new stargazing spots.
